Although the club is an amenity for residents of the Daniel Island park neighborhood, a limited number of memberships are available for those who don’t reside on the island.

How much does a Daniel Island Club membership cost?

On average, the cost of a membership is going to depend on the type of membership you sign up for, as is the case with any country club.  With a few options available, we were able to find estimates for the membership types offered here and included the costs below:

MembershipInitiation FeesMonthly Dues
Socialno initiation fee and is granted to all Daniel Island members$155 to $320
Daniel Island Golf$85,000~ and is only available to those who reside in Daniel Island Park- $690
- Older than 70 years old pay $550
- Non-resident pays $440
- Limited pays $365
Invitational$70,000~$690
Charleston$90,000~$690
National$30,000~$335

NOTE:  Use these prices as an estimate only as they are subject to change and don’t come from the country club itself, only the members who played and shared their prices from the past.  Seeing the club is considered a private, non-equity, developer-owned club, most initiation deposits are fully refundable.   We discuss the membership options in detail below.

In the past, Faux Country News talked about the club offering a Groupon deal which decreased the initiation dues from $78,000 instead of $80,000.

James Schiller, a broker associate for James Schiller Real Estate, offered prices on the membership options, along with the inclusions.  A Daniel Island membership, for example, could cost $85,000, whereas an Invitational membership, available to island property owners residing in neighborhoods other than Daniel Park, would pay $70,000.

The membership options

Daniel Island Golf – A membership option that is opened to Daniel Island Park residents only.  These memberships, according to the club, are permanent or protected against being recalled in the future if the club reaches its maximum capacity.  Members can enjoy access to both 18-hole golf courses and all social activities.

Invitational Golf – A recallable membership and these members don’t have to own property in Daniel Island Park.  This option provides access to all club amenities, including golf, tennis, aquatics, dining and social events.

National Golf – An option for those who live 75 miles outside of Charleston.  This is a full family membership that allows members access to both golf courses and all social privileges.  This membership can be upgraded to a full golf membership and is non-refundable.

Social – For property owners within the residential community, Daniel Island Park, who automatically receive this membership option.  Only residents are able to take advantage of this membership option.  These members will have access to all dining options and social events.  Golf, tennis, the fitness center and golf won’t be included.

Social Sports – Entitles members to all amenities at the club with the exception of golf.  This includes swimming, tennis, fitness and dining.
