How Much Does an Emergency Vet Cost?

An emergency veterinarian is one who works after hours for those emergency situations that can arise with animals.  Emergency vets may also be open during regular business hours but, unlike regular vets, are available without an appointment.  Some examples of emergency situations that could happen to your pet would be injuries such as a broken bone or flesh wound or sicknesses such as excessive vomiting or lethargy.  If these situations are very severe, you may not be able to wait to get an appointment with your regular veterinarian and will need to get your pet immediate attention.  Emergency veterinarians will be there in these types of situations to assist you and your pet until it can get into you regular vet.
