The Glendora Country Club, a private golf club located in the foothills of San Gabriel Mountains in Glendora, California, was founded by George D. Whitcomb on April 1st, 1887.

Mr. Whitcomb named this club by combining the name of his wife, Leadora, and his home’s location.

How much does a Glendora Country Club membership cost?

The costs of a membership to the Glendora Country and Golf club, as with any country club, will depend on the type of membership you sign up for.  With the club offering a few options, we broke down the costs we researched online in the table below:

The membership options

Regular Golf Membership:  This membership class includes the primary member, their spouse and children younger than 21 years old. Privileges include access to the pool complex, the 18-hole championship golf course, practice facility, clubhouse access and a full calendar of the club’s social events.  For the primary member, this membership also includes shoe service and lockers.

Junior Executive Golf Membership:  A reduced-rate membership option for members between the age of 21 and 44. Benefits include access to the pool complex, the 18-hole championship golf course, practice facility, clubhouse access and a full calendar of the club’s social events.

Business Group Membership:  This membership class is open for members of the same business entity, allowing up to three designees.  Benefits include access to the pool complex, the 18-hole championship golf course, practice facility, clubhouse access and a full calendar of the club’s social events.

Social Golf Membership:  Social Golf members are able to golf up to two rounds per calendar month during open play tee times.  While these members can play more than two rounds, they will have to pay guest green fee rates for each additional round played.  Aside from the golf amenities, the membership benefits also include the golf practice facilities, access to the aquatics center and full clubhouse privileges, including the social events.  This is considered a recallable non-equity, non-voting membership by club and can be used to upgrade to a Full Golf membership in the future.

Social Membership:  Social members are able to enjoy unlimited access to the clubhouse, aquatics center and all social events.

Non-Resident:  A Non-Resident membership will include the primary member, their spouse and children younger than 23.  This membership, offering full club privileges, is only available to those who live 50 miles from the club or has a full-time membership at another private club.  Non-Resident members have no capital assets replacement fees, food and beverage minimums or assessments.

The club’s amenities include the signature Robert Trent Jones Sr. 18-hole championship golf course, a grass driving range, golf practice facility, aquatics center, indoor/outdoor dining options and a full calendar of social events held throughout the year.

What are the extra costs?

A food and beverage minimum, from our understanding, will apply to most membership classes, but at this time, these fees are unknown.

Tournaments, golf outings, leagues, camps and private/group lessons can all incur additional fees if you were to consider these options.

Guest green fees will apply to members and guests in certain circumstances.

Tips to know

The golf course covers more than 113 acres, and according to the club’s official description, it encompasses a diverse urban forest, undulating terrain and has some of the finest greens found anywhere.  The course offers a variety of tees, accommodating everyone from beginners to the professionals.  This fee, according to WorldGolf.com, is said to average $83 per round.
