How Much Does Cetrotide Cost?

Cetrotide, a prescription-based medication used to help women undergoing infertility treatment, is used to regulate hormone responses.  This injectable hormone is commonly used for IVF and sometimes in combination with other fertility-related drugs, such as Gonal-F, to help control ovulation to release the eggs when they mature.  Doctors will often prescribed this medication to help prevent premature ovulation for any women who are currently undergoing IVF treatments.

How much does Cetrotide cost?

At the time of this publishing, Cetrotide is only available as a brand name prescription, with no generic available.  Depending on your health insurance coverage and the pharmacy you choose, the cost of the medication tends to be in the $210 to $240 per 0.25mg vial without any insurance coverage in the United States.

As for health insurance, the results seem mixed, but for most, insurance coverage is almost non-existent, but it doesn’t mean you cannot save as we will explain below on a few ways you can save on your next prescription.  While it doesn’t hurt to talk with your insurance company, do not be surprised if your health insurance company denies coverage since many companies view infertility treatments as an optional treatment course of action, but in some states, according to IVFMeds.org, 15 states are currently required under law to offer coverage for infertility treatments.   GoodRX.com does note that all Medicare policies will not cover this drug.

How to save on Cetrotide

Manufacturer coupon:  The official manufacturer of the drug, EMD Serono, offers the Compassionate Care Program, a program which can help you save up to 75% off the cash price and will be based on your income provided.  To see if you qualify and how much you can save, you can do so by visiting FertilityLifelines.com.

Co-pay coupon:  Aside from the official manufacturer coupon, the company also offers a fertility co-pay card which can help you save up to $25, but this program, unlike the program mentioned prior, is available for commercially insured customers only.  To see if you qualify, you can visit the same website, FertilityLifelines.com.

Prescription coupons:  GoodRX.com and a slew of other prescription coupon-based websites can help you save more than 50% by simply downloading a coupon.  Available to anyone, regardless of your income and insurance, all you need to do is select the pharmacy you want to visit, the dosage and from there, you can print the coupon for free.  However, if you do go this route, keep in mind that you cannot use your commercial health insurance in conjunction with it.

Cetrotide overview

Cetrorelixis, a man-made hormone is designed to help blocks the effects of the Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH), which is a hormone that controls another hormone known as the luteinizing hormone, a hormone that starts ovulation during the menstrual cycle.  In some cases, when women undergo hormone treatment, premature ovulation can occur, which can lead to the eggs that are ready to be fertilized to be released.  Cetrorelixis, the hormone mentioned prior, will help prevent this premature release.

The dosage will vary by patient, so it’s very important to follow your doctor’s directions, never taking more, less or stopping without your doctor’s consent.  The amount of medicine, depending on the strength, will often be three milligrams injected beneath the skin one time on the seventh day of your menstrual cycle or a 0.25-milligram injection beneath the skin on either day five or six of your menstrual cycle and continuing until the HCG administration starts.  Your doctor will always show you how to inject the medication and you can also reference the medication guide that comes along with the medication as well.  During your first injection, your doctor will monitor you for up to 30 minutes before sending you home for your subsequent injections.

Cetrotide side effects

Common side effects include swelling, redness or itching at the injection site, headaches, nausea or mild to moderate overstimulation of the ovaries. Rare but more serious side effects may include abdominal pain, bloating, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, difficulty breathing and/or a decrease in urine.  If you experience any unwanted side effects, consult with a medical professional immediately.  To reference more side effects, refer to this FDA guide.

How much does 1-800-GOT-JUNK cost?

According to the official website,  1-800-GOT-JUNK states that its pricing system is “simple and straightforward” and to schedule a no-obligation, in-person price quote, they ask that you click the schedule now button and fill out the appropriate information.  While the online schedule does not give you a quote, it simply sets up an appointment where a 1-800-GOT-JUNK employee shows up at your door to offer you a no-obligation quote in person.

Even though the official website does not offer exact pricing, we were able to find to find estimates online from previous customers who used them, and like most junk haul away services, the quotes would greatly depend on your geographical location, the amount of junk you need hauled and what kind of junk you have as a refrigerator would cost more than a few large pieces of furniture.  Based on all of these factors, we found that the company tends to have a minimum around $140, regardless of how much you have, with quotes as high as $900+ to load up the entire truck.  The quote you receive on the job will be the all-inclusive quote, with no hidden fees, to haul away any of the junk you point out at the job site.  You can refer to our price chart below for all of the quotes we sourced online.

On one Yelp review for the Long Beach, California location, a reviewer noted she was quoted $129 for a mattress and a storage cargo for a car, whereas another reviewer on that same thread was quoted $35 for a refrigerator, but when they showed up, the quote increased to $129.

Carrie at BrickCityLove.com did a great job taking pictures of the debris she had  1-800-GOT-JUNK haul away from a recent renovation, and according to her post, she paid a grand total of $362, which filled up about 3/8ths of the truck.

How much of the truck are you taking up?Average quote
1/8th of truck space$189
1/4th of truck space$300
3/8th of truck space$350
1/2 of truck space$375
5/8th of truck space$425
3/4th of truck space$515
7/8th of truck space$575
100%$600+

NOTE:  The trucks, as per the official FAQ page, are 10 feet long, 8 feet wide and 5 feet high.  To picture this, the back can fit eight, full-sized, stand-up refrigerators.

The extra costs to consider

Anything shredded? From what we read online, if you need anything shredded, they charge close to $15+ per banker box size.

Moving items to the curb? They highly recommend you place all of the junk you need to be removed at the curb, but if you cannot do so, they will charge additional fees in terms of the labor involved in the job.

Tips to know

All 1-800-GOT-JUNK operators are franchised owned, simply meaning you’re dealing with a local franchisee.

The company cannot take away any toxic materials, as per their FAQ, such as paints, chemicals, oils, asbestos, oil drums, oil storage tanks and junk vehicles.

Every truck, owner and team member are fully licensed and insured, all bound to the local laws.

Promo codes and/or coupons are occasionally available if you search online or even browse your local location Yelp page, for instance.  At the time of this publishing, for example, we found a $10 off coupon if you booked a truck online.

How much does CPI Security cost per month?

However, aside from the official website, we were able to find many customers online who did share what they were paying monthly, with prices ranging anywhere from $30 to $59+ a month, with an average $99 activation fee, but this could vary and up to $1,700 in equipment may be included in the initial install as well.

According to the reviews on PissedConsumer.com, for instance, one reviewer said they were paying close to $50 a month, while another stated it would cost an additional $14.99 a month to add cameras to the account on top of the basic alarm prices.  Many warned that you should closely examine the contract ahead of time to know how long your alarm contract is going to stay active to avoid any cancellation fees.

How much does the Coding Dojo cost?

According to the company’s official FAQ page, the costs of tuition will greatly vary depending on the location and the program type you sign up for as the company does offer an onsite and offsite program option, with different stacks taught at various locations.

Its onsite coding bootcamp, a 14-week program which offers three full stacks varying by campus, ranged anywhere from $10,495 to as much as $13,995, for example, with the Seattle, Washington location being the priciest option.

LocationStacks TaughtOnsite Tuition (as of publishing in 2018)
Chicago, ILPython, MEAN, C#/.NET$12,995

The onsite bootcamp option

The onsite bootcamp option, as the name implies, simply means you will take the courses in person, just as you would a traditional college course.  The entire course, as per the company, is 14 weeks long, and depending on the location of choice, will teach you three stacks via its curriculum.  Upon graduation, you will learn three in-demand stacks, have a portfolio to show future employers and have triple the job prospects as companies will use a different stack.  The program does note students should invest at least 70 hours per week while in the program, with the most successful graduates investing up to 90 hours a week.  Upon graduation, you will jump straight into the job hunting process with the help of the company’s career services department.

The curriculum covered with vary by the campus, but timeline looks like the following:

The online bootcamp option

The online bootcamp option, a flexible option in comparison to the onsite option, will offer access to an in-depth two stack curriculum, complete with access to real-time support from instructors.  This program, as per the company, is ideal for developers who cannot afford the on-campus program.

Unlike the onsite program, which lasts 14 weeks, the online program will last 20 weeks and the curriculum timeline will be similar, however, it will be spaced out more and the student will only learn two stacks instead of three.  Students will still have to meet the graduation requirements, including passing the belt exams, and career services will still be accessible, regardless of which curriculum option you choose.

Learning sessions will consist of two live learning sessions, but if you’re unable to make it, you can watch replays.  Students will also have access to project-based assignments and discussion topics to help connect with classmates in the program.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available to help cut down on the costs, with awards of to $1,000 for former/current military veterans and servicemen, women in tech and underrepresented diversity groups.  While applying, be sure to talk with the company, as well as check out the official website, to see if you can cut down your costs via a scholarship option.

How much do CertainTeed roofing shingles cost?

The cost of CertainTeed roofing shingles depend on a few factors, including the type of CertainTeed roofing shingle you want to purchase, the contractor you hire (if you plan on doing so) and the scope of the project.  For most professionals, at least from the quotes we researched online, CertainTeed roofing shingles tend to range anywhere from $2 to $5 a square foot professionally installed or about $4,000 to $10,000 for the average 2,000 square foot home.

As for the higher-quality CertainTeed roofing shingles, such as the designer and luxury brands, then the costs could be much more, often as high as $5 to $7 per square foot or about $10,000 to $14,000 for the average 2,000 square foot installed.

These prices will not include the removal and disposal of the old shingles as this could add yet another $1 to $3 per square foot to the costs above.

For just the materials, again, it will greatly depend on the type of CertainTeed roofing shingle you want to purchase.  On Roofcalc.org, in its GAF Timberline vs CertainTeed article, for instance, the price per 100 square foot could range anywhere from $78 to $150, with the Landmark Pro being the costliest and Landmark being the cheapest option.  Again, this was for the materials only and would not include the professional labor.

Viirt.com, a professional roofer located in the Washington area, noted the average prices on his website, listing some of the most popular CertainTeed Landmark shingles and what it may cost.  The CertainTeed Landmark, for instance, started at $281.40 per square or 2.81 per square foot installed, while the Landmark TL started at 438.98 per square or $4.38 per square foot installed.  The Premium was in the same range as well.  According to the FAQ of the website, these are just basic estimates and could increase based on the scope of the job.

Warranty information

If you’re interested in the basic warranty, then you can have your shingles installed by a professional roofer of your choice; however, if you want a more comprehensive roofer, then the company requires that your installation is performed by one of their certified contractors.  Also, if you do plan on receiving an upgraded warranty, it is the roofer’s responsibility to fill out the warranty information and submit it to the company.  Failing to do so will mean the warranty will not exist for your home in the future.

As for the warranty, the non-prorated coverage is full for the first 10 years of the SureStart period and is pro-rated 20 percent at 40 years and beyond.

As for labor for shingle replacement, the first 10 years is included, while the wind uplift damage is 110 mph during the first 15 years.  A wind warranty up to 130 mph is available for an additional cost.

The StreakFighter® algae-resistance warranty lasts 10 to 15 years, depending on shingle choice.

Lastly, the warranty can be transferred once during the first 10 years for full coverage; after, it only includes two-year cover from the date of the transfer.

As with any warranty, there are limitations which can void the warranty such as poor roof deck ventilation, for example.  For more information on the company’s warranty, you can refer to the official PDF.

Cedar Lakes Estate Wedding Cost

The Cedar Lakes Estate, founded in the early 1920s, initially started at a summer camp for the inner-city youth as a way to escape the hustle and bustle of New York City.

In the 1990s, however, Steve and Lisa Karvellas purchased the property and transformed it into a family retreat, slowly turning it into an events facility as it is known today.

Sprawling more than 500+ acres about 70 miles from Manhattan, the Estate offers more than just space for a wedding; it’s also known for its forest hiking trails, fire pits, basketball courts, boating options and so much more.

How much does a wedding cost at the Cedar Lakes Estate?

The cost of a wedding at the Cedar Lakes Estate, as with any wedding venue, will greatly depend on the number of guests attending, the time of year, the day of the week and any special requests as needed.  Based on all of this information and from the information we researched online via third-party sources, we found the rental fee would range anywhere from $12,500 if booked in April or November and $19,500 for any month from May until October.  Aside from this, WomanGettingMarried.com notes you need to budget another $65,000 plus $25,000 in additional food costs for the entire weekend, including the rehearsal dinner.

In conclusion, once the food and beverage minimum and rental fee are factored in, the average costs of a 200 person wedding would average about $450 per person.  This range would cover the food, beverages and the entire property for the entire weekend, from Friday until Sunday.

Now, if you didn’t want the venue for the entire weekend, then you could opt for the one-day site fee, which would range anywhere from $6,500 in either April or November or $9,500 for any reservation made from May until October.  The food and beverage minimum for the one-day site reservation would also be $65,000, bringing the average cost of a 200 person wedding to about $375 per person.  This fee, as noted, would only include one day, not the entire weekend as mentioned prior.

The food and beverage minimums need to be met, and the venue does require you use the in-house catering service, with the exception of those who need Kosher.  The average person based on the WomanGettingMarried.com numbers tend to be in the $260 per person range plus a 20 percent service fee and additional tax, but this range can greatly vary depending on what kind of meal plan you request.  Do keep in mind, however, that the catering fee is included in our estimates mentioned prior.

Additional costs to consider

If you book the venue for the entire weekend, additional catering costs need to be considered outside of the wedding date.

A 20 percent service fee and taxes are not included in the estimates mentioned above.

For those staying for the weekend, additional activities, while optional, can be added to the bill.  The Blob, for instance, is a giant balloon which sits on the lake can catapult you into the water.  For four hours of unlimited usage and a certified lifeguard at the site, it would cost an additional $550.  A zip line, yet another optional activity, can be added for $1,200 for four hours of usage and would include a certified staff time and the safety equipment.

If booking for the weekend, then most of your guests will more than likely stay at the cottages on site. A one-day wedding does require a one night stay, while the weekend package requires a two-night stay at a minimum.  The pricing for the cottages will depend on the size and time of year books, but nightly rates from from $250 for a one-bedroom to as much as $500 for a three-bedroom suite.

What’s included in the fees?

Whether you choose the one day or the entire weekend, your site fee will include the following amenities:

Venue options

In general, you can utilize any of the 500 acres on the property, but in general, the following, as per our research online, tend to be the most popular options for ceremonies:

The Great Lawn:  Sits about 100 yards away from the Barn to the lake.

Mountain top:  Seating up to 300 people, the mountaintop area, ideal for a ceremony, sits along the Huckleberry Ridge, with a grassy field cleared to say your vows, all while being surrounded by wildflowers.  A wood arbor can be used if you need it, along with wooden benches for your guests.

Outdoor Amphitheatre:  Overlooking the lake on the property, the 85-year-old deck was restored as of late as a place to say your vows.  Secluded within a cluster of pine trees, this space can accommodate a few hundred guests.

As for dining venues, the Estate offers the following options:

Open-air Dining Pavilion:  Equipped with a stone firepit, the Open-air covered Dining Pavilion offers sweeping lake views and aside from cocktail hour, this area can also be used for weekend dinners, a Sunday breakfast/lunch/dinner and/or the cocktail hour on the day of the wedding.

Barn:  The largest venue on site overlooking the lake, measuring 5,400 square feet, the Barn offers floor-to-ceiling glass panels and a reclaimed barn-wood interior.

Cambria, a privately-held company based in Minnesota, is a natural, quartz surfacing which has a variety of uses inside of the home such as countertops, showers, tiles, wet bars, fireplace surrounds and so much more.

Known as one of the hardest materials on Earth, the designs, from afar, look just like granite, marble and other related quarried stones, but unlike these materials, Cambria is noted for its strength and durability as it is nonporous, unable to absorb food and liquid like granite does, truly making it maintenance free.

As the only American company today, Cambria offers a wide range of slab sizes, edges, colors and designs to choose from.

How much does Cambria quartz cost?

The costs of Cambria quartz counters will depend on the retailer/installer you choose, the scope of the job, the contractor you hire, your geographical location and the type of Cambria quartz you wish to purchase.  Based on these factors and from the estimates we gathered online, the average cost for both the material and labor seemed to be in the $70 to $125+ per square foot range.  These costs can greatly increase, however, if you needed additional cutouts, holes drilled, a thicker counter and/or premium seams, for example.  In your hunt for prices, what you’re going to find is that every dealer will have their own “mark up,” making it extremely hard to offer an exact price for your project.

Since there are so many factors, as you can see, we highly recommend you use the free quote comparison service, HomeAdvisor.com.  With this tool, you can simply explain your job and contractors, based on what you provided, will contact you with a free, no-obligation quote.  No credit card is required and the entire process only takes minutes.

Benefits of Cambria

Many designs to choose from — Cambria, according to the company, is available in more than 120 designs, with each design boasting a natural beauty and variation of the quarry cut stone.

Stronger than most materials — Known for its diamond-like hardness and superior strength, it’s known to be much stronger than granite and other stone related surfaces.

Truly maintenance free — It is maintenance-free, meaning you do not need to seal or polish it.  All homeowners need to do is wash with a warm water and mild soap if desired.

Stain resistant — The material is able to resist stains from common household items such as tea, wine and coffee.  Due to the nonporous nature, the maintenance is as simple as can be.

Limited lifetime warranty — The company backs its product with a lifetime limited warranty, which you can learn more about here.

Safe food preparation area — As the material is nonporous and NSF 51 certified for food, the surface is 100 percent safe for food preparation.

Cambria vs. Granite — what’s the difference?

Cambria is 93 percent quartz, a natural stone, while granite can range anywhere from 40 to 60 percent quart, all depending on who you purchase it from.  Quartz, being the extremely hard mineral which gives Cambria its durability, homeowners can be assured they are receiving one of the strongest materials on the market.

Another key difference is that Cambria is considered to be non-porous, which means it is virtually maintenance free, only needed a simple wash with warm water, while granite is considered to be a porous stone and will need to be treated/sealed annually to keep its shine.

Tips to know

Cambria takes the environment seriously, and for that reason, they mine it so that only 70 percent of the material is used in the finished product when in comparison to Granite, only 35 percent of the material is used in the final product.  The company, as per its website, states they recycle 100 percent of the water used during the manufacturing process as well.

The company will only allow professional contractors who have been certified by their Cambria University to measure and install the product in your home.  When asking for a quote, always ask for references and make sure that they are authorized to sell the material.  You can confirm or search for a dealer by using the company’s official dealer search tool.

Cambria will offer a lifetime limited warranty to the original owners only; the warranty is not transferable.

The slab sizes are available in 1cm, 2cm and 3cm thicknesses, with various edge profiles also available to help create the appearance of a thicker slab.

No stone will ever be considered 100 percent durable and Cambria is no exception.  While it can be considered more resistant, it can be damaged with excessive force, partically near the dishwasher and/or sink area where chips often occur.  A minor knife slip, on the other hand, will not cause a ship, but scratch markings, if they do appear, will be more noticeable on a the monotone colors when compared to multi-colored surfaces.
