How Much Does a Union League Membership Cost?
Founded in 1862, the Union League of Philadelphia started as a Patriotic Society to support the policies of Abraham Lincoln.
As of today, the club is a private, members-only club with more than 3,300 members. Here, members gather to socialize, network, dine, exercise, relax and partake in special events.
How much does a Union League membership cost?
In order to become a member, however, a prospective member must be sponsored by six sponsors and must be interviewed by the Admissions Committee that meets on the first Tuesday of every month. The schedule of the annual dues, as per the official website, are broken down into our table below. The costs, as you can see, can greatly depend on the membership category.

NOTE: Even though these fees did come from the official website, they are subject to change, so it’s best to use this as an estimate only. Please refer to the official membership department for official pricing. The Tier 1 initaiton will be due upon the first monthly statement, but for Junior members, it will be allocated over four months. The Tier 2 initiation fee is payable monthly for over 36 months but can be refundable by proposing a new member.

The benefits of a membership, as per the official club, includes multiple dining options (fine dining, pub style, chef’s tasting kitchen, wine cellar and buffet), overnight accommodations, a smoking room, an executive fitness center, two business centers, club events, event planning, affinity clubs, 15 unique private dining rooms, a luxury suite at Wells Fargo Arena, access to over 170+ reciprocal clubs and a membership, if the additional dues are paid, to the Union League Golf Club at Torresdale. The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale is located 12 miles from the club and offers an 18-hole Donal Ross golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts and dining options.
What are the extra costs?
Active and Junior members will have to pay a mandatory $125 food and beverage quarterly fee.
Onsite services, offered for an additional fee, include a notary public, concierge, library, barber, shoe shine and massage therapy.
