However Exogen sent new equipment, charged Medicare $5,000, and Medicare paid all but $867.00. Had I known, I never would have accepted since I’m unable to pay. Was it worth it? I don’t know. I had had a 6 hour operation prior to receiving the ultrasound stimulator and I participate in physical therapy. I suspect that my success is from a combination of the treatments.
