Not feeling well , not as active as normal , slight limp in one front leg , appox 2 days . Not extremely concered , but called a local vet , told symptoms on phone , and asked for price for visit , told $43.00 . My wife takes dog to appt. , talked to her later that day , she told me they billed her $243.00 . About a 20 min visit . YIKES ! Nothing broke , nothing fixed , X-ray , few pills for pain , and a date for a follow up visit ( Yeah , Right ) If it don’t have a price on it , better ask .

The vet knew there was fluid in the abdomen and the x-ray would just fill the screen with white. Diagnosing the problems in the abdomen was the reason for the visit. Unfortunately, the x-ray did reveal spots on the lungs.
