Financially, this surgery is not feasible to me because I am just out of college, have over $100,000 in student loans, and I have been completely cut off from my parents since I was 18. I simply cannot afford the surgery up front, and I am going to have a very difficult time finding the money for physical therapy. So while the surgery was necessary and I hope to be able to live my incredibly active lifestyle again, the cost of it is going to kill any positive financial prospects I had planned for the next year.
