She works approximately 37 hours per week. Her salary equals $12.00 per hour and is guaranteed a weekly payment of $450.00 per week. She is paid for all holidays, 5 sick days per year and any time that I take off, including full week vacations. She isn’t required to do housework, only child related items, such as baby laundry. I found our wonderful nanny on care.com. I scanned through other job postings to see what other families were posting for job requirements and pay rate and could not believe how much families were expecting for such little money! Remember your nanny has to pay her bills as well! It is not fair to ask someone to work for less than minimum wage. A lot of parents were looking for 50 plus hours per week and wanted to pay $300.00 or less! If you can’t pay a nanny a fair wage, please find a nice little daycare center for your child.
