How Much Does Sockeye Salmon Cost?

The sockeye salmon, also referred to as red salmon or blueback salmon, is one of the few small salmon found in the Pacific Ocean.  It is abundant on the coasts of Washington, Alaska and San Francisco.  Although pink and chum salmon are the most popular types of salmon, sockeye is a close third.  What people love about the sockeye salmon is that it is firm and flaky once it is cooked. It has a rich flavor, is moist and quite oily in texture after it is cooked.  Most culinary experts suggest that you should have the sockeye salmon either broiled, steamed, baked, poached, or grilled.
