The Bellerive Country Club, located in Town and Country, Missouri, a district of St. Louis, Missouri, is also known as the “Green Monster of Ladue Road.” The club was previously known as the St. Louis Field Club, which, at the time, had a nine-hole golf course in north St. Louis with 166 members in 1897. Thereafter, in 1910, the membership established the Bellerive Country Club in honor of Louis St. Ange De Bellerive, who was the last French commander in North America.
The newly formed club, designed by Scotsman Robert Foulis, remained in Normandy for about 50 years. In 1955, the club transferred to the west with architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. assigned to choose and design a prime farm location as its new venue. On Memorial Day in 1960, the club re-opened and has then hosted many local championship golf tournament and leagues. The club hosted the U.S. Open in 1965 and it was considered the “youngest course” to host a popular golf event. The club continued on hosting different PGA Championships in 1981 and 1992.

The club does not allow smoking anywhere inside the Clubhouse or on the grounds, except in a designated area in the northeast section of the patio.
