How Much Does a HOG Membership Cost?
A HOG Membership refers to being a part of the Harley Owners Group, which means you are a part of an exclusive team of owners for one of the most renowned motorcycles in the world, Harley-Davidson.
How much does a HOG membership cost?
The cost of a national HOG membership will depend on the type of membership you sign up for. At the time of this writing, there are three options: a full, associate and life membership. The costs are mentioned in our table below:
Type of Membership | Cost |
---|---|
Full | - $45 per year - $85 per 2 years - $120 per 3 years |
Associate | - $25 per year - $45 per 2 years - $65 per 3 years |
Life | Prices vary, but resources online say it's around $650. It can drop to $400 or so if you have been a member for 5+ years. |
This HDForums.com forum thread says a lifetime membership for a full member was $650, but if you were a member for five consecutive years, the costs would drop to $400. A lifetime membership for an associate member would be $325, but again, the costs would drop to $200 if you were a member for five consecutive years.
HOG membership options
Full
A full membership is designed for Harley-Davidson® motorcycles only. If you want to join this group, you will just supply your VIN and you can join. A complete full membership will offer a pin, patch, roadside assistance, access to events, a subscription to HOG® magazine and a touring handbook.
Associate
An associate membership will be designed for either a passenger or family member of an active full member. Associate members will receive a card, pin, patch and access to events. In order to be an associate member, you must be sponsored by a full member.
Lifetime
Lastly, a lifetime membership is just that — a membership for life and is designed for those who want to commit for life. Life members receive the same benefits as a full member; however, the pin and patch will be different.
Tips to know:
Memberships, once purchased, are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Membership benefits can also include AT&T Wireless discounts, Best Western Ride Rewards, mileage recognition, local chapter access, shipping discounts and a deployed military program.
Currently, there are 1,400 chapters around the world, with each one sponsored by an authorized dealership.

How can I save money?
If you recently purchased your bike, your dealer should provide you with a complimentary one-year full membership.
If you feel you want to commit to the club, highly consider the lifetime membership as it can save you money in the future.
