ABCmouse is a full curriculum course that caters to preschoolers and kindergarteners and its step-by-step learning path has more than 400 lessons with more than 5,000 individual learning lessons, along with games that the kids can play.

ABCmouse uses a designed program that has more than six levels starting at Level 1 for 3-year-olds.  As each child progresses pass a level, they will be able to graduate to the next one.

The different curriculum programs

Reading.  The reading curriculum at ABCmouse focuses on teaching the students upper and lower case letters, phonics, blends, recognizing words, rhyming, and word families.

Math.  Not only will your child learn to count and recognize numbers from 1 to 100, he or she will also learn the basics of addition and subtraction as well as recognizing greater and lesser numbers.  Drawing, tracing, recognizing, and naming different shapes will also be part of the curriculum.

World Around Us.  This curriculum is a mixture of science, social studies, and health; it will include lessons on topics such as the health of the body, sports, plants and animals, weather and the seasons, and the heavens.

Art and Colors.  Your child can master the art of connecting the dots, coloring, and shading, all while learning their primary and secondary colors.

Music and Songs.  Using well-known children’s songs, counting and letter songs, as well as some originals, ABCmouse will teach your child about different instruments, sounds, and styles of music.

Tips to know

The program is ideal for those who are being homeschooled or starting out with preschool or kindergarten.

The website claims that they charge a subscription fee because they want your child to surf in a child-friendly environment with no ads or pop-ups.

The program was designed to make it as easy for your child as possible when working independently.
