How Much Does the La Rinconada Country Club Cost?

The La Rinconada Country Club, located on more than 125 acres, is a private club with limited membership located in Los Gatos, California.

The club, which overlooks the western foothills and Santa Cruz Mountains, took shape in the late 1920s due to the motivational efforts via a small group of men who envisioned a golf course.  According to the club, the course was dedicated by Senator Sanborn Young, one of the original Club Members, and other founders include W.C. Sprague, W. B. Maxwell and Wendell C. Thomas to name a few.

During World War II, when the club was on the brink of bankruptcy, it was later sold to Sol J. Leider, a golfing dentist.  By 1952, he leased the land back to a group of residents for 99 years, creating the club as it is today.

Today, the club still lives to its class design with tight fairways and small, well-kept greens.

How much does a La Rinconada Country Club membership cost?

The costs of joining the La Rinconada Country Club, as with most country clubs, will depend on the type of membership, as we will talk about later, you sign up for.  From our research, it appears that today, a membership is sold anywhere from $108,000 to $168,000 depending on the current market conditions.  The monthly dues are said to be close to $600 a month, according to the Mercury News.

The current minimum food and beverage spend, aside from the monthly dues and one-time initiation fees, is said to be $1,500 a year.  These fees, however, are considered to be estimates and cannot be guaranteed.  To get more information about membership fees and other details, interested parties may have to call La Rinconada at (408) 395-4181 or visit their official website.

Even though the flyer is old, the club, in 2008, said the club had memberships for sale, ranging from $108,000 to $112,000.

According to one answer on this Quora.com question/answer thread, the initiation costs is about $125,000 for one certificated membership.

Membership to the club is by invitation only and guests are admitted when accompanied by members only.
