Liberty House restaurant wedding overview

The Liberty House offers two places to get married on its premises: the Grand Ballroom and Liberty Room.  The Grand Ballroom can accommodate 350 guests, a venue offering floor to ceiling windows, cathedral ceilings, panoramic views, and a wrap-around terrace. The Liberty Room can accommodate up to 140 guests and offers a great view of the Statue of Liberty as well as the city.

In addition to the Grand Ballroom and Liberty Room, the guests can enjoy one of the two tented gardens.  These pavilions offer a private and beautiful wedding scene.

The Liberty House Restaurant wedding package will include an open bar service, four to five-hour use of the facilities, a personalized menu based on the listed items in their brochure, a liberty designed customized cake, wine service, and champagne toast during dinner.

Free parking is available for all guests.

What are the extra costs?

Like all other places offering wedding packages, the taxes and fees are not part of the total amount you pay.  Just to give you a heads up, on top of the ceremony and catering cost, the Liberty House Restaurant charges a 20% tip and 6% tax.  Make sure to take note of this so you do not go over your budget.

There is no wedding coordinator service offered here so if you need one, you will need to include the fee to your list of extra costs.

An outdoor service can add $10 per guest since the chairs and pavilion will have to be set up.

There are many other costs to think about when planning a wedding.  For example, you will need to think about flowers and decorations.  Even though the Liberty House Restaurant is stunning, you may still want to add a touch of your style and colors to each table.  You will also need to consider the costs of a photographer to capture all the moments of your special day.  The restaurant can probably give you a list of suggested vendors in the area if you are having a hard time finding one.

Tips to know

If you want to take a look at the stunning Manhattan Skyline, consider renting the place in the afternoon until the evening with your guests.

When deciding whether or not to get married in Liberty House Restaurant, remember that since this offers many rooms, it is very likely that you will be sharing the place with other weddings or meetings; the intimacy of your wedding should also be considered.  If sharing the place with other parties does not interest you, it may be best to look elsewhere.

Some brides quoted online that depending on the day, the person minimum could range from 150 to 200 people.

A $5,000 deposit will be required to reserve your date, and 14 days prior, the entire balance is due.

How can I save money?

The restaurant offers 10% on weekday wedding events, Fridays and Sundays.  Take advantage of this if you want to save a little bit.

If you are on a budget, play around with the food menu.  By swapping food on the menu, many brides are able to save money.
