How much does a Marbella Country Club membership cost?

According to third-party unconfirmed sources we had found online, we were able to compile some estimates; however, as country clubs continue to change its pricing, don’t use this as a guaranteed rate.  The club also has a mandatory minimum food and beverage spend, but at this time, it is unknown.  Be sure to talk with the membership department at the club for exact pricing.

The membership options

Full Golf – A full golf membership offers unlimited full access to all of the club’s amenities, including golf, fitness center, dining and social activities.  This membership, according to a flyer, is 50 percent transferable.

Social – A social membership offers access to the club’s fitness center, pool, clubhouse, complimentary fitness classes and a full calendar of social events.

Junior Executive – A junior executive membership, designed for members between the ages of 22 to 40, club privileges such as discounted monthly dues until the primary member reaches 40 years old.  This membership offers complete access to the golf course, practice facility, tennis facilities, fitness center, pool, and clubhouse. Membership is not transferable. There is an opportunity to upgrade to The Platinum Club.

Tennis and Sports – The tennis and sports membership offers a member access to the tennis courts, fitness center, pool, and clubhouse.  The membership also offers eight complimentary rounds of golf and six additional rounds at the prevailing guest fee for each calendar year, Tuesday through Thursday, depending on availability.

Marbella Country Club overview

The golf course, an 18-hole, 6,608-yard championship course, was created from the rolling hills of San Juan Capistrano and designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf. The course offers a challenge with its large bunkers, many elevation levels, deep roughs, waterfalls and lakes, according to the club’s official description. Golf lessons are provided to members and the club has junior golf teams and summer camps for younger members.

Aside from the golf course, other golf-related amenities includes a practice range with a grass driving range, practice bunkers, a chipping area and putting greens, are on site as well.

The tennis facility includes six lighted championship tennis courts, tennis lessons, programs and various tennis leagues and interclub matches where members may participate. The club also has an active men’s, women’s and junior tennis teams.

The swimming facility includes a Junior Olympic-sized pool, toddler pool, swimming lessons and water-related activities. The club has an active junior swim team.

The 50,000 square foot clubhouse offers a stylish formal dining room, a cozy Grill for casual dining, a separate men’s and women’s locker room, fully stocked pro shop for golf and tennis equipment, two comfortable lounges, and several meeting rooms and banquet facilities that can be opened for small group parties or larger celebrations such as a wedding reception.

Event spaces include the Catalonia Room and Terrace — a room that offers a fireplace, 10-foot French doors opening to the adjoining terrace and views of the golf course.  This space can accommodate up to 250 guests.  The Valencia Terrace, a unique multi-level space, can seat up to 200 guests. The Banquet Room can seat up 100 guests, and the Board of Governors Room can seat 18 to 30 guests with a round-table arrangement.

Throughout the year, the club offers a full calendar of social and golf events.

What are the extra costs?

The food and beverage minimum on a quarterly basis is said to be $270.

Green fees are going to apply to guests and members who don’t have privileges.

All memberships have the opportunity to enroll in the Platinum Club, which offers golf privileges at more than 250 courses nationwide.  Members may also join the National Golf Club with privileges at 50 premiere private country clubs and over 100 resort courses while on travel.

Private lessons, clinics, camps, and tournaments, all of which are offered at the club, can be an additional cost to budget for.
