How much does Moe’s catering cost?

According to the company’s official website, the company offers a variety of catering options, each with its own pricing tier.  The costs will really depend on how many people you’re serving and the type of setup you desire.

With a variety of options, we broke down the costs and included our findings inside of the table below:

Appetizers

Mini Burrito
pre-rolled with southwestern rice, shredded cheese, pico de gallo and choice of protein

- $5.25 each for premium protein (steak or carnitas)
Chips and Dips
cheese queso, guacamole, salsas or chili con queso

Fajita Bar

How did we receive these prices?  These prices were sourced directly from a local Moe’s Southwest Grill that sent us a catering price file via email.  Keep in mind these prices are subject to change and should be used as an estimate only.  As each location is independently owned, you can discuss the details with your local location.  You can read the nutritional facts and more about the menu offerings via the official restaurant’s website at Moes.com/catering.

What’s included in the price?

Aside from the abovementioned prices, all prices, according to Moe’s, will include the plates, napkins and all utensils.  If you have drinks in your order, then the restaurant will include cups at no additional charge as well.

With every meal order, free chips and salsa come with it, but if required, additional salsas can be purchased for the estimate provided above.

A special setup, if delivered, is available as part of the total price.  This setup will include all chafing stands and all of the necessary utensils, plates and cups mentioned.

The extra costs to think about

Delivery fee

In order to be eligible for delivery, the restaurant asks that you spend a minimum of $150, and the delivery fee is about 10 percent of the amount of the order.  This fee will cover the entire delivery, the setup, including the warming stands and heating elements, as well as the serving utensils.  The minimum delivery fee is said to be $20.

Special event setup

In the case you need chairs, tables, linens, special china or even glassware, the company can include this as part of your package for an additional price.

Gratuity

A tip is not included in the price, as with any service, this is 100 percent optional but appreciated by the staff.

Servers

Servers can be arranged by the staff for about $25 per server and are able to help re-arrange and restock the buffet for your event.  If you choose this option, the restaurant does ask you to commit to a two-hour minimum.

Even if you have one or two guests with dietary restrictions, all of the bars can be set up to be customized to a specific meal and the person/s

What’s the difference between the fajita and taco bar?  According to the company’s FAQ, the fajita bar is considered to be a “souped-up” version of the taco bar, offering larger portions and additional add-ons such as grilled onions, grilled peppers, rice and the company’s guacamole.
