If you had a few thousand dollars, would you consider purchasing a new pooch?  While most mutts cost less than a hundred dollars at your local pound, the following breeds noted below are easily going to set you back at least four figures.

The name “Lowchen” means little lion in German and is perhaps a befitting name for this little but very active dog. With an impressive mane of hair, a plumed tail and some small bits of hair around the ankle, it is truly a “lion” dog.
