How Much Does a Pelham Country Club Membership Cost?

Written by:  Howmuchisit.org Staff

In 1908, the Pelham Country Club was known as a small tennis club and a five-hole golf course created out in a cow pasture. A prominent club member, Mont Rogers, founded a company in 1921 and bought the land to build a championship golf course, designed by Devereux Emmet, who was a popular golf architect at that time.

The golf course was constructed from virgin woodland, rolling terrains, with remarkable greens and low-lying hills, projecting beauty and function at the same time. Later on, the club hired golf architect, Mike Devries, to add a world-class short game area, the 19th hole, which is located on the east side of the 1st tee.

In September of 1923, the club hosted the PGA Championship where many prominent golf players participated.

The club is a mere 15 minutes away from Manhattan and is a luxurious refuge for members who like family-oriented activities and socialization.
