The Porter Ridge Country Club, surrounded by the Santa Susana mountains, was established in 1967 and changed its name to the Porter Valley Country Club in 1968.  The Country Club is located in Northridge, California.

Full Privileges Membership: This membership option extends to the primary member, spouse and their dependents who are younger than 23 years old and are still living at home. The privileges include full access to golf, complimentary range balls, complimentary golf clinics, tennis courts, fitness center, swimming pool, clubhouse services and some Porter Valley ONE benefits.

Young Executive Membership: This membership option extends to the primary member, spouse and their dependents who are younger than 23 years old and are still living at home. The primary member, in order to qualify for this membership, has to be 39 years or younger. The privileges include full access to the golf course, the tennis courts, fitness center, swimming pool, clubhouse services, networking events and some Porter Valley ONE benefits.

Next Generation Membership: This membership option extends to the primary member, spouse and their dependents who are younger than 23 years old and are still living at home. The primary member, in order to qualify, must be 29 years or younger. The privileges include full access to the golf course, tennis courts, fitness center, swimming pool, clubhouse services, networking events and some Porter Valley ONE benefits.

Tennis Membership: This membership option extends to the primary member, spouse and their dependents who are younger than 23 years old and are still living at home. The privileges for this membership includes full access to tennis courts, the fitness center, swimming pool, clubhouse services, networking events and some Porter Valley ONE benefits.  A limit of six rounds of golf may be played per year at the member guest rate.

Social Athletic Membership: This membership option extends to the primary member, spouse and their dependents who are younger than 23 years old and are still living at home. It’s designed for members who would like to interact and network. Privileges include full access to the fitness center, swimming pool, clubhouse services, complimentary golf and tennis clinics, networking events and some Porter Valley ONE benefits.  This option offers limited golf and tennis benefits per year.

Porter Valley Country Club overview

The club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by Ted Robinson, a full-length grass driving range, 3,500-square-foot practice green, a fitness center with complimentary group classes, 25-yard junior Olympic-sized pool, 4 lighted pickleball courts, six lighted tennis courts, childcare services via the Kids Club and dining options at the Grille Room, located inside the clubhouse.  Throughout the year, the club also offers free clinics and special events.

What are the extra costs?

Leagues, outings, junior camps and tournaments, all available throughout the year, can all be an additional cost to budget for if plan on participating in them.  The club, as per the official website, offers competitive golf leagues, SCGA traveling teams, weekly programming and monthly tournaments for all skill levels.

Private/group lessons, all available for golf, tennis or swimming, can be an additional cost to budget for.  Swim lessons, for instance, cost $70 to $110 per four half-hour lessons.

Locker rental and bag storage fees, while optional, will be an additional cost to consider.
