The Ridglea Country Club, which opened in 1954, is a private club found in Fort Worth, Texas.

The club, today, sits on the property which was purchased by Clayton Luther and his group who wanted to build the finest country club in the Fort Worth area at the time.  It is the only club in all of Forth Worth that features two golf courses.

How much does a Ridglea Country Club membership cost?

On average, the initiation fees will greatly depend on the type of membership you apply for.  These fees will range anywhere from $4,000 to as much as $15,000.

This recent MyAvidGolfer.com named this course the “best country club in the mid-range category.”  According to the list, the club is said to have initiation fees within the $10,001 to $25,000 range.

The membership options

Resident –  This full equity membership class offers access to all club amenities.  This membership option offers the right to hold off on the Board of Directors, voting rights and the right to sponsor new members.

Non-Resident – A membership option designed for members who live outside of the Texas counties of Tarrant, Dallas, Collin, Johnson, Parker, Hood, Somerville, Ellis, Wise or Denton.  This is also considered a full equity membership with voting rights.

Resident-Firm – A corporate membership designed for a company and its employees.  This class offers the same inclusions as the Resident and Non-Resident membership options.

Junior – A membership option designed for members who are younger than 35 years old.   This class offers the same inclusions as the Resident and Non-Resident membership options.

Legacy – An option offered to immediate family members of current members at a reduced initiation fee.

Athletic – An Athletic membership offers the right to sponsor new members but won’t have voting rights.  This class will not include golfing privileges.

Ridglea Country Club overview

The club offers two golf course options:  the Family Course and the Championship Course.  Each course is equipped with a driving range, short game area and an indoor teaching facility.  In addition, each course will have a fully stocked pro shop on site as well.  To learn more about the course history and information, you can refer to the club’s official documentation.

Aside from the championship golf courses and golf practice facilities, the club offers 11 lighted tennis courts, a fitness center, a swimming pool, kids club, and a 130,000 square foot clubhouse with locker and card rooms.  Dining options include the Family Grill, a casual, fast-paced dining room, and the 19th Hole, a lunch and dinner option opened year round.  The Ballroom, also on site, is available to serve large events and can cater up to 1,100 guests.

What are the extra costs?

Green fees will apply to guests and members without privileges.  Green fees are said to cost $89 on weekdays and around $125 on weekends.

Adult leagues, programs, lessons and clinics, all available for golf, swimming, and tennis, can be an additional cost to budget for.
