The Sunset Hills Country Club, located in Edwardsville, Illinois, was founded in 1924 and was known as the E.G. Golf Club at the time.  Later, in the 1950s, it was renamed the Sunset Hills Country Club.

The more than 170-acre property features rolling terrains, prairie grasses, old trees, different beautiful flower species, wildlife and a colorful butterfly garden. The golf course has landscaped greens, narrow fairways, some rough bunkers and some bodies of water. Through every season, the grounds maintain their clear and pastoral setting.

How much does a Sunset Hills Country Club membership cost?

On average, the initiation fees are going to range anywhere from $1,500 to $4,500, and the monthly dues, depending on the membership classification, as with any country club, will cost anywhere from $165 to $480 per month.  For example, a full golf membership will cost $480 per month, while a junior golf membership will cost $280 per month.

A $250 quarterly food and beverage minimum must be met as per the club.

Social events, commonly held throughout the year, will often have a fee to participate.

The club is dedicated to taking care of the environment. For example, it has preserved a wildlife sanctuary where one can find rabbits, squirrels, deer and eagles around the course. Likewise, a bluebird housing project, which began in 1999, has 15 birdhouses with different hawk species and blue/heron kingfishers to name a few.
