How Much Does Torque Converter Repair Cost?

When the torque converter fails, you will more than likely hear a loud cracking or clacking sound coming from the transmission, but there are other symptoms you may hear or feel.

This torque converter is positioned within the engine and transmission, bolted straight to a “flex plate,” which is then spun by the crankshaft, transferring the torque from the engine to the transmission.  This part, in turn, will handle how much fluid is passed onto your transmission and it also allows your engine to continue to run while at a complete stop.
