The Waverley Country Club is found on 138 acres of land alongside the riverbank of the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon.

Established in 1895, the club’s mission, according to its official website is to be one of the finest country clubs in all of the United States.

How much does a Waverly Country Club membership cost?

Sources claim that initiation fees can start at $35,000+ and annual dues can be more than high five figures.  These are considered to be estimates and cannot be confirmed.  If interested, contact the club directly for accurate membership dues.

According to a forum thread on GolfWRX.com, members claimed the dues are more than likely out of their league, and one source, in particular, claimed he heard initiation fees were more than $35,000.

Aside from the golf course, the club offers the Field House, a practice facility, junior clubhouse and training programs from multiple professionals on site.

Additional amenities, aside from golf, includes a variety of social activities, a nationally recognized wine program and multiple dining options, including Riverside Dining, the Wine Cellar, 1986, the Terrace Room, Veranda Dining, the North Lounge, the Men’s Bar, Grille and Ladies’ Lounge.

What are the extra costs?

Dining and social events, commonly held throughout the year, will almost always have fees to participate.

Tournaments, events, lessons and clinics, all of which are available at the club, can have an additional fee.

Tips to know

The club has a “no tee time culture,” allowing members to form groups on the first tee. A Saturday morning is an open play for all members, giving new members the opportunity to join a game with the club’s Saturday golfers.

The club was the second private golf club to be established west of the Mississippi River.
