At the Calamigos Ranch, there are four sites you can choose from, with each offering an accompanying banquet hall with fireplaces, as per WomanGettingMarried.com.  The costs of getting married at the Calamigos Ranch will depend on the site you choose within the ranch, the day of your wedding, the time of year and the number of guests attending.  The rental fee, as well as food and beverages, regardless of which option you choose, can range from $117 to $134+ per person and below, we will discuss the venue options as well as what is included in the fee.

Cairnwood Estate Wedding Cost

For more than 100 years, the Cairnwood Estate, a branch of the Academy of the New Church, has been holding memorable weddings within its halls.

Starting in 1896 when the tradition began with the marriage of John and Gertrude Pitcairn, today the hall is open for up to 200 guests for a sit-down dinner-type setup or up to 275 for an opulent station-styled event.

All of the rooms within the estate, ranging from the rooms, grand staircase, terrace, balconies and gardens, all offers its own unique and memorable experience, according to the Estate’s official website.

How much does a Cairnwood Estate wedding cost?

According to the official website of the Estate, the site fee can range anywhere from $1,800 to $7,800, a fee which would include a five-hour reception time and three hours of photo and dressing time for the couple-to-be.  Additional hours may be added to the day at $500 an hour, allowing the party to extend to midnight.  As with any wedding venue, the site fee will primarily depend on the time of year, the day of the week and the number of guests attending the wedding.  As a note, a refundable $1,000 security deposit is required.

Aside from the site fee, like any venue, you will have to budget for the catering as well, and as per the official website, the venue does work with a select list of preferred caterers, with prices ranging from $95 to $105 per guest.  This price, as you can imagine, will depend on the food selection, the number of guests and any add-ons you may want to add on.

WeddingWire.com, on its pricing sheet, notes the reception site fee during the off-peak season (January-April and November) can start at $2,000, whereas during the peak season, the fees can start at $5,000.

What is the Cairnwood Estate?

Built by John Pitcairn in 1895, the Estate sits in a secluded setting behind walls nestled among trees, gardens and an expansive lawn, beyond a gate off of Huntingdon Pike in Bryn Athyn, Montgomery County, about 16 miles from the heart of Philadelphia.

The focal point of the Estate, as per many reviews online, is the Great Hall, a vast two-story room, allowing in lots of natural sunlight, along with an open-styled staircase leading toward the second-floor balcony.  Inside, three arched glass doors open to the Estate’s terrace and the well landscaped grounds.  According to the description on PartySpace.com, all of the rooms are large, decorated tastefully and equipped with fireplaces.  The admirable craftsmanship truly shows throughout the grounds, with the architectural details of the former home truly creating a lovely event.

Tips to know

At the time of this publishing, the venue held an open house on Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Tours were available during the week and on weekends by appointment only.

The school properties and facilities on site are not available for wedding ceremonies.

The maximum capacity of the venue is 250 but up to 300 if tenting outside of the terrace as per PartySpace.com.

Cafe Brauer Wedding Cost

The costs of having a wedding at the Bridgeport Art Center, like many wedding venues, will greatly depend on the time of year you want to get married, the number of attendees and which location within the venue you want to reserve.  Based on these factors and the quotes we researched online, to get married here, the costs seem to be within the $6,500 to $13,500 range for just the rental fee.  These are just estimates and were gathered from unconfirmed third-party resources, so do use it as an estimate only.  For exact information, we highly recommend you contact the venue directly as everyone will have varying quotes and results.

NOTE:  Holiday pricing will apply and a $1,500 deposit is required for the bar and another 50% deposit to secure the date of the wedding.  Discounts are available for non-profit organizations and military personnel.  Weekly rates are also available upon request.

As for catering, the costs will depend on many factors, including the caterer you choose, the number of guests and the type of food served.  Since you have to choose from a list of approved caterers, the costs will depend on which one you choose, but WomanGettingMarried.com states you should be budget about $100 per person for the food and another $32 per person if you were to choose a five-hour premium bar package.

The Skyline Loft

The Skyline Loft can accommodate up to 1,200, depending on the arrangement, while a seated dinner can accommodate up to 900.  The entire Skyline Loft is 18,000 square feet and can be divided to accommodate special requests such as a ceremony area, reception area and/or dance floor, for instance.

The interior offers exposed brick walls, solid wood floors and 15-foot wood beamed ceilings, all while offers city views and the South branch of the Chicago River. Above, 120 linear feet of skylights run along the entire length of the space.  Unique draping is included in the rental fee as well.

An elevator is available for cars and objects up to an 8,000-pound maximum.  A separate service elevator is also available.

On-site recycling, as well as an on-site catering kitchen, is available for use.

Sculpture Garden

The Sculpture Garden venue offers 12,000 square feet of space inside as well as 6,000 square feet on the outside, with a cocktail party able to accommodate up to 900 guests.  Sit-down setups can accommodate up to 550 guests.  To see floor plans, a 360-degree tour and pictures of the venue itself, you can view them via the official website.

The costs of an adult circumcision will depend on a few factors, just like any other surgical procedure, including the facility where the procedure is performed, the type of anesthesia used, the surgeon you choose, your geographical location and your health insurance policy.  Inside of a doctor’s office, without any health insurance coverage, the costs can range anywhere from $1,300 to more than $3,200, all greatly depending on the anesthesia as a local anesthesia will cost about 30 percent less than a general anesthesia.  The costs could also increase if you were to have the procedure inside of a hospital rather than an ambulatory care center, for instance.

GentalCircumcision.com, for instance, notes most insurance plans will not cover the procedure, but since general anesthesia is not required, you may be able to have the procedure completed for as little as $1,600.

The Gentle Procedures Clinic, located in Plano, Texas, offers pricing information on its website, noting it will cost $1,600 for a procedure without any health insurance coverage.  According to the website, however, they do offer a six-month interest-free payment plan for those who are interested.

Alex Shteynshlyuger, MD of the New York Urology Specialists also offered official pricing on his official website, noting the would charge $2,685 out of pocket for a circumcision under local anesthesia or $3,275 for a circumcision with general anesthesia.  These totals would include the new office visit fee, facility fee, surgical assistant fee, supplies fee and three post-operative visits.

Will insurance cover it?

Most of the time, health insurance will not cover the procedure; however, there are exceptions to the rule.  Generally, if the foreskin is causing problems, such as phimosis, paraphimosis, frequent UTI, masses/lesions, pain during intercourse and/or cancer, then your health insurance may cover the procedure.  To know for certain, talk with both your doctor’s office and the health insurance provider to see what your restrictions are and what you would be responsible for.

The procedure – what to expect

According to EverydayHealth.com, your doctor will first administer either a local or general anesthesia to numb the area and this generally depends on either your preference and/or your doctor’s preference.  GentalCircumcision.com notes the procedure is both painless and safe due to the power anesthetic that’s administered.

Next, after the area is number, your doctor will then retract the foreskin and trim it off.  Once trimmed, small, absorbable sutures or a surgical glue will be used to help close the incision.

The cost of purchasing an Amelia Sposa wedding dress, like any other wedding dress, will depend on the retailer you choose, the type of dress, add-ons and the condition (new vs.used).  While the official website of the manufacturer doesn’t specifically state the prices on its website, we did find a few brides who did share what they paid, with prices ranging anywhere from $1,300 to $2,100 brand new.

On this Weddingwire.com forum thread, members talked about how they could purchase a dress from this company and what it would cost.  While many stated it was hard to get in contact with the company, one member was able to get ahold of them and was given a quote slightly more than $1,500, while another member was given a similar quote when she used the contact form on the website.

The website, PreownedWeddingDresses.com, had three active listings at the time of this publishing, with prices ranging from $1,000 to $1,200, and while the website caters to “pre-owned” wedding dresses, two of the three listings never were worn, one being altered and the other being unaltered.

On this Reddit.com thread, one visitor said she inquired about a few dresses and was quoted around $1,000 to $1,500.

A trend as of late, a yurt, customizable to become a home, office or even as a storage space, has become popular as of late due to its low cost to build and environmentally friendly qualities.

How much does a yurt cost to build?

The costs of a yurt can greatly vary as there are so many factors that go into a quote, which we will explain below.  But if you were to hire a professional to create a yurt for you, the costs, from the quotes we did research online could range anywhere from $9,500 to $34,000+.  Again, so many factors come into the picture, so please take a minute to review the “factors affecting the costs” below to see what you should budget for.

NOTE:  Like a car, this is the base price, and as we, again, get into below, there are many factors which can increase the costs by the thousands.

As there are so many factors and it can be hard for us to offer a concrete estimate, we highly recommend contacting local contractors in your area if you are truly interested in the project.  HomeAdvisor.com, a company we recommend, allows you to explain the job, and from there, you will receive multiple quotes for the job at no cost.  The service is free to try and no credit card is required.

According to Rainier.com, they profiled three yurt costs before tax, with the costs ranging from $19,624 to $34,664, and the costs greatly depended upon the type of roof, wall, doors and windows that were used, to name a few.  This was a great comparison chart to show you exactly which options were available as well as what others paid.

Yurts of America, a retailer located in Indianapolis, Indiana, offers prices on its website, with prices starting at $8,194 for a 16-foot yurt to as much as $15,790 for a 30 footer.  Being a base price, the costs can increase as you add options.

Factors affecting the cost

Materials and size:  From simplistic to something sophisticated, your look and final design can often be the largest factor in the quote.  If you wanted a simple 12-foot in diameter yurt, then you’re going to pay a lot less than a premium version more than 30 feet in diameter made from a premium wood.

Top cover upgrade:  Upgrading to a premium top cover material can increase the costs by as much as $300 to $800, depending on the size.

Delivery:  As most yurts are often created in remote areas, your contractor may often charge a mileage surcharge, which is greatly based on the mileage driven.

Foundation:  If you do not plan on moving it and want to create a permanent location, then a permanent foundation is recommended to increase the durability of the yurt.  Depending on the size of the foundation and the materials used, do not be surprised if the platform costs you a few thousand.

Optional upgrades:  Many upgrades are available for a yurt, ranging from a premium insulation within the walls to a stronger structural reinforcement in the case of a permanent yurt setup.  Custom doors and windows, another common premium upgrade, can increase the price of your yurt as well.

Insulation:  We touched upon this in the previous bullet point, but it can greatly affect the price as a yurt located in a colder climate will need that added protection from the cold to create a comfortable atmosphere on the inside.  For this reason, if you do plan on installing your yurt in a colder climate, then you need to be prepared for a single or double layer of protection, which often differs from the traditional insulation found in a basic install.  The added insulation to the roof can cost another $400 to $2,000, depending on the size, while adding it to the walls can be in the same range as well.

Reinforcement:  Most yurts do stay in place, and the stronger the structure reinforcement tends to be, the more secure it can be, even in the most severe weather circumstances.  In some cases, especially in climates prone to high winds and extreme weather, larger rafters and more studs around the perimeter are often recommended to ensure the yurt is as strong as it can be in the climate its installed in.

Stove flashing:  Almost all yurts will incorporate a centrally-located stove in order to heat the interior.  While flashing is not always recommended since the design can often ventilate the stove properly, stove flashing, if considered, can create a more efficient setup when allowing the smoke to escape.

Rain catchments:  As mentioned, many yurts are often installed in a remote location, and because of this, a water supply may be scarce.  As a solution to this problem, some yurt owners opt for a creative rain catchment system in order to collect the rainwater to use for later.  This type of setup, at a minimum, will usually consist of gutters and a large water tank to store the water.  A good system, including the gutters, can add another $400 to $2,000+ to the yurt, depending on the size and length of gutters required.

Doors:  The design limits are endless, as you can see, and whether you want a simple zipped up door like a tent or fancy double French doors, upgrading the entryway can increase the costs, all depending on the type of doors you want to install.  Depending on the type of door, a French door could cost about $500, while a French fiberglass door could easily be triple this.

Windows:  Like the doors, you can also consider upgrading the windows for a fee.  Like a tent, a simple yurt will have plastic windows, but for a permanent structure, you can upgrade to a traditional glass window.  Plan on budgeting about $1,000 per glass window.

Permits:  If you plan on having a professional install one for you, then permits may need to be pulled, especially if you plan on constructing a permanent foundation for it to sit on.

Land:  If you do not have the land already purchased, this yet another cost to think about outside of the actual yurt purchase.  Aside from this, ShelterDesigns.net recommends budgeting for the power lines, well drilling, septic installation and road construction, to name a few.

What is a yurt?

A yurt, formed as a circle as seen in the picture above, has been used as a shelter method for thousands of years in Central Asia.  When fully constructed, a yurt can be similar to that of a circus tent, with a roof which slopes down evenly from the center roof ring, but like a tent, do not confuse it for one as it can be much durable.  From there, the outer low-rising walls run in the circle to form the dwelling.  While the traditional yurts found in Asia served as a family home, they can be used for other purposes such as storage units, shelters or even as an office.

Besides the lower costs, a yurt can offer many advantages, including its environmental friendless, no foundation required and it’s truly customizable, just like a residential home.

If you’re in need of a new water heater, then there’s a good chance you’re going to head to one of the most popular home improvement chains such as Home Depot.

How much does it cost to install a water heater from the Home Depot?

The costs of having a water heater installed by the Home Depot will vary based on a few factors, including the time of year as the promotions do change and the scope of your project since some jobs may require more parts/labor than average.  According to our research online via the many quotes we did find, the initial inspection quote tended to be in the $40 range and can often be deducted from the total costs if you committed to the price.  As for the basic installation fee, the costs via the Home Depot was in the $350 range, but this fee could increase if you needed any additional piping, for example.  On top of this, some claimed you needed to pay a delivery fee, often around $75, as part of the total quote.

In conclusion, when all of the install fees were added, the costs could range anywhere from $425 to $575+ for just the install and again, this would not include the hot water heater you purchased at the store.

This forum thread on RedFlagDeals.com, for instance, had multiple pages discussing the costs of what a hot water heater cost them to have installed.  The main member, who created the thread, stated he paid $40 for a quote, $325 for the basic install and another $75 for the delivery fee.  Another member via this same forum thread stated he paid close to $400 for the install work at his local Home Depot, while another said they paid $300 for the install and another $300 in custom labor for the changing of the pipes.

On this Slickdeals.net forum thread, the creator of the forum thread said he paid $643 for the unit and the installation, including taking away his old water heater.  Granted, this was a deal at the time and may not be available right now, but it doesn’t mean you cannot find a deal or if you’re patient enough, wait for one in the future.

How much does an AMC Stubs membership cost?

The costs of joining the AMC Stubs program will depend on which option you choose as the movie chain offers two levels.  The Stubs Insider, the “free” version, offers perks such as free refills and $5 tickets every Tuesday, whereas the “Premier” version, will cost about $12 to $15 per year, but this price can fluctuate depending on the promotion currently going on at the time.  If you’re lucky, you may be able to find an AMC Stubs promo code as well.  The cheapest we did find was a deal in the past which offered the card for $10 a year.  Below, we compare the two tiers, showing you which benefits you will receive with both.

How do you earn points?

To earn points, you can do so by presenting your app/card at the movie theater kiosk or using your number in the case of booking tickets online as well as at the local concession stand.  For every dollar you spend and depending on the card you have, you can earn anywhere from 20 to 100 points per $1 spent, with the theater letting you turn your points into rewards in increments of 5,000.  These rewards can be redeemed for free concessions or tickets, to name a few, but will change periodically.  To see what you can claim, you can log into your account online to see your balance and which rewards are available at the time of redemption.  As long as your account is active, your points will not expire; however, activated rewards do expire after 270 days.

If you’re interested in joining the program, you can do so by either joining via the official website, via the official mobile app or you can do so in person by talking with an AMC crew member.  To join, all you need to provide is your name, birthday, favorite local theatre location and email address.

The free version of the program is unlimited, meaning it will stay valid as long as you use it every 24 months; however, the Premiere membership is only valid for 12 dates from the date of enrollment and will expire on the last day of the month.  When you do renew via the same methods mentioned prior, your membership will then be extended for another 12 months.  In the case you decide you do not want to renew your membership, then it will automatically be converted to the free Insider account.

When joining, you will not receive a physical card if you’re apart of the free program; instead, you will use your card via the movie theatre app.  As for the Premiere members, you will receive a card kit in the mail, usually within four to six weeks.
