The costs to join the Moon Valley Country Club in Phoenix, as with any country club, will depend on the type of membership you sign up for.  With a variety of memberships to choose from, we broke down the costs of each membership option in the table below:

Amenities include the 18-hole championship golf course, the Moon Walk par 3 course, a driving range, practice area, eight championship hard tennis courts, a fully stocked tennis pro shop, a fitness center with an indoor golf training studio, Pilates studio, two racquetball courts, golf pro shop, four locker rooms, heated competition Olympic-sized swimming pool, play pool, dining options at the Grille 59 and a variety of social events held throughout the year.

What are the extra costs?

Social events, commonly held throughout the year, can be an additional fee to budget for as most will have a fee to participate.

Personal trainers are available for an additional fee.  As per this official page, individual training can range from $35 per 30 minutes or $60 per hour, or if you participate in a group session, the costs can be $30 an hour.

Green fees will apply to guests playing with a member or a family member of a gust.  Depending on the time of year and day of the week, these fees can range from $30 to $79.

Lockers are available to rent for $14 per month or $168 a year.

What are the extra costs?

Private lessons, available for both golf and tennis is available.  According to the official tennis page of the club, a one-hour private lesson will be $50 an hour, whereas a one-hour semi-private tennis lesson will cost $35 an hour if you’re a member of the club.

Tips to know

The country club, not to be confused with the HOA, is considered private and will not be included in the HOA fees paid by Serrano residents.  If any residents want to join the club, they will have to pay the fees mentioned prior.

The SeaCliff Country Club, located in Huntington Beach, California, is only one-fourth of a mile from the Pacific Ocean and the Huntington Beach Pier.

A public facility until 1984, it is the only private country club and golf course in Huntington Beach, California.

SeaCliff Country Club overview

The golf course, originally designed by J. Press Maxwell, is a completely natural golf course measuring 6,935 yards.  Other golf-related amenities include a fully stocked pro shop, a driving range, large practice putting green and two chipping areas equipped with bunkers and contour grass.

Aside from golf, the club also offers a fitness center, swimming pool complex, 16 tennis courts, 10 of which are lit, and a calendar full of social events held throughout the year.

How Much Does a Prairie Dunes Membership Cost?

The Prairie Dunes Country Club, a golf course located outside of Hutchinson, Kansas, is a member-owned and is often ranked among America’s best golf courses.

The club was established in the mid-1930s by Emerson Carey and his four sons, and the club can be described as an inland links jewel, set in the heart of the United States. The inland Kansas setting is about as far away from the ocean as one could possibly be, but the golf course has multiple characteristics of classic seaside links.

Shorter nose dog breeds, such as the English Bulldogs, Pugs and Shih-Tzus, have an elongated soft palate to some extent — a common breathing disorder.

This soft palate is the flap of the skin at the back of the throat, and if it is too long or even too thick, it can block the airway, making it difficult for the dog to breathe.  The end of this soft palate, to picture it, can get sucked in and even stuck in the windpipe, leading to a paritial obstruction.  This situation, if left untreated, can cause distress and difficulty for your dog while breathing.

The cost of an elongated soft palate surgical procedure will depend on a few factors, including where you live, the surgeon you hire, how long your dog may be in the hospital and how many surgical procedures need to be done overall to resolve the problem.  The costs, without any insurance, can cost anywhere from $900 to $2,900 from what we researched.  What you’re going to find out is that the prices are going to greatly vary from one location to another.

According to a post on The Miami-Dade French Bulldog Meetup Group via MeetUp.com, the costs of this common laser procedure ranged anywhere from $500 to as much as $2,500.

Dr. Gary on JustAnswer.com stated the surgery will depend on how many surgical procedures need to be done.  If you needed the soft palate, laryngeal saccules and nares all corrected, then the costs could be as high as $2,500, but if you need just one of the three procedures, then the average will be within the $1,000 to $1,500 range.

The surgical procedure first begins by trimming the excess tissue from the soft palate to help the air move from the mouth to the nose into the trachea, according to Patrick Mahaney, VMD CV.  This procedure can also be paired with a rhinoplasty (nose job) to help increase the size of the nostrils and air capacity traveling through the nose.  The entire procedure, depending on the surgeon’s experience and the method they use, will take about 60 minutes.

In most cases, a dog, after the surgery, will be required to stay at the hospital for at least 24 hours so the staff can monitor his/her progress.  The doctor will want to be certain the dog is able to breathe without complications.  Even when home, most vets recommend 14 days to see adequate healing and progress.

The risks, as with any surgery, can include post-operative hemorrhaging, an infection at the surgical site, a decreased appetite, pain or in extreme cases, death.

While surgery may be recommended in some cases, many vets may suggest waiting until the dog is at least one year old as the palate may still grow until this time.

Icare® TONOVET Plus – A device used to measure IOP on animal patients.  As with the products mentions, the Plus tonometer uses the same technology and no anesthetic will be required.  With the press of a button, it features an advanced interface with red/green positioning lights which help find the correct angle to help aim for the middle of the cornea.

What are the extra costs?

Disposable tips will be required for at-home tonometers, and the price will depend on the exact model they are being used for.  A 50-piece box, on average, will retail for about $55 to $85.  These probes are deemed to be for single use and should never be cleaned or sterilized as per the company.

These devices will require maintenance calibration or regular service as they are designed by using parts that do not wear out.  However, the probe base can collect dust or particles that can cause the movement of the instrument to be affected.  It is recommended the base is replaced every six to 12 months.  The probe bases for each system can cost an average of $65.

While optional, a professional office may need to budget for training sessions to train its staff.

Both the TA01i and ic100 will use four AA batteries, which will cost an average of $1 to $2.  The HOME version will require 2 CR123 batteries, which cost an average of $3.50
